Love on the Brain by Ali Hazelwood (5/16/2026)
I think this is the third Ali Hazelwood I've read and as much as I enjoy reading them, the books are getting easy to predict. Still, it was a fun read! I ready it in about three days and I am a notoriously slow reader. A lot of people online didn't like the FMC for this book, and as a pescatarian with dyed hair in STEM who is a little avoidant...fair. I believe that if you don't like a character, that's okay! I hate a perfect character more than anything. I was so happy that Levi was a Vegan too, I never thought something like that in a book would make me swoon but it did. Haha! Overall, enjoyable read, scratched my romance itch, but I'm looking to read something by another author. Ali Hazelwood is becoming a little easy to predict, but still a page turner! I think I clocked that Levi was Shmac, and that Guy was going to turn on Bee before page 100, but that didn't make it less of a fun read. Books like these are like soup. Delicious, I can eat it quickly, I feel mostly satisfied, but it is missing something solid. But soup is good and I like soup. Nothing wrong with soup everyone needs soup sometimes. Would eat a soup like this again.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (5/3/2026)
me and the siblings watched today! Honestly, a little corny but I enjoyed it. It's about a guy who works for a magazine and processes images sent by photographers. The company gets acquired, his job is on the line, and he goes on a magical whimsical side quest. It's nice, adventurous story about the average guy whose life, at the start, is mundane. Very millennial optimism. Makes me want to travel the world, document my journeys, and take the leap of faith. Can you hear me Major Tom?
